Former governorship candidate of the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) in Ondo State, Engr Chris Ojomo and 55 of his supporters have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Ojomo, who spoke on telephone with our correspondent, among his 55 supporters are four former governorship candidates in the state.

The Street Reporters recall that the deputy governor of the state, Ali Olanusi, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday morning.

A source told our correspondent that some of the commissioners in the state were set to dump the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in the coming days.

Ojomo accused the state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko of destroying the state PDP.
