Former Senator, Smart Adeyemi has lost his bid to unseat Senator Dino Melaye at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Adeyemi filed a suit at the Appeal Court after the State Tribunal Elections Petition Tribunal upheld the March 28, 2015 Senatorial election in favour of Melaye.

While the former Senator was the flag bearer for the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Melaye was the All Progressives Congress candidate in the senatorial polls.
