Dr. Abubakar A. Kuso, Executive Director (Planning & Design) of the Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority (UNRBDA), and Amb. Adegboyega Bamisile, Executive Director (Finance and Administration) of the Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority (BRBDA), recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have pledged commitment to their new responsibilities.

Speaking at a cocktail reception on Sunday, organized in their honour by the President of the All-Africa Students’ Union (AASU), HE Osisiogu Osikenyi, the executives expressed readiness to engage Nigerian youths and students, urging them to explore opportunities in the country’s agricultural sector.

The event was attended by national leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by National Secretary, Comrade Anzaku Shedrack.

In their remarks, the appointees thanked their constituents — particularly Nigerian students and youths — promising not to disappoint their expectations. They called for unified support of President Tinubu’s administration to successfully deliver the Renewed Hope Agenda for the benefit of all citizens.

A highlight of the event was the handover of the leadership mantle of the Bola Tinubu Support Organisation (BTSO) to Engr. Hon. Idris Zango, Vice Chairman of Bida Local Government Area, Niger State. The new National Coordinator of BTSO pledged to elevate the organization with the backing of the founder, Dr. Abubakar A. Kuso, now the Executive Director (Planning & Design), UNRBDA.

Other dignitaries at the event included Ayuba Wazir, Executive Director, Agriculture, UNRBDA; Mr. John Hassan, Executive Director, Engineering, UNRBDA; Abdulkadir Muhammad Alhaji, Personal Assistant to the Executive Director, Planning & Design, UNRBDA; Hon. Jibrin Yabagi Jibo; and Engr. Jator Abido, Paramount Leader of Niger Deltans in Northern Nigeria, among others.
