As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to announce a cabinet reshuffle and the approval of the South West Development Commission, prominent Nigerians are renewing their calls for Comrade Awa Bamiji’s appointment.
Some of the prominent citizens who spoke hinged the development on the heels of Bamiji’s exceptional contributions to the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, despite joining late in November 2022.
Bamiji’s achievements have garnered widespread recognition, with many congratulatory messages circulating on social media.
His leadership and coordination of pro-Tinubu civil society activities in Abuja and across the country have been particularly noteworthy.
Notably, he facilitated the Grand Commander of African Politics’ Award Plaque presentation to President Tinubu and organized various events, including the June 12 @ 30 World Press Conference and a prayer session at MKO Abiola House in Ikeja.
As an economist, youth developer, and multi-talented activist, Comrade Bamiji has been instrumental in promoting progressive causes in Nigeria.
After his appointment in November, 2022, as a Civil Societies’ Directorate member of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Abuja, based on his group’s mobilisation and publicity efforts, expectedly, Comrade Bamiji used the opportunity to carry every important groups and individuals along, including Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, and Mrs Paulen Tallen, who was a former Deputy Governor of Plateau State and immediate past Minister of Women Affairs.

With the cabinet reshuffle imminent, many are eagerly awaiting the announcement to see if Bamiji will be recognized for his efforts.
The presidency has confirmed that a reshuffle is on the horizon, amid mounting pressure and criticism over the performance of President Tinubu’s administration.
As the nation waits with bated breath, Bamiji’s supporters remain optimistic that his dedication and achievements will be rewarded with a ministerial portfolio, providing adequate representation for civil societies in Nigeria.
